Subject: National LGBTQQ Study
Hello PFLAG Shreveport!
My name is Nick Livingston. I am currently conducting an online research survey that seeks to understand the LGBTQQ experience on a national level from a new and exciting perspective. The results of this study will be used to support our efforts, and the efforts of researchers like us, toward promoting LGBTQQ health and equality. However, in order for this important work to be carried out, we must ask people like yourself to help make this project known to others. To the extent that you are willing, I am asking that you post information about this study to a bulletin board, magnet board, or anywhere where you think others may be able to see it. I will happily provide you with all of the necessary materials (i.e., flyers, information, etc.) if you are willing to assist with this important research! You can also find the online link to the survey at the end of the message, along with a link to our community Facebook page – feel free to share both.
Participation in this research is really straightforward and all data collected will remain completely anonymous and confidential! Once participants enter the survey link online, they will be asked to provide consent and then invited to complete the survey, which usually takes about 25-45 minutes to complete. Participants in this study will also be given the opportunity to submit their email address into a drawing for a chance to win electronic gift cards!
If you are interested in assisting with this research (by simply displaying the flyer and/or talking about the study), please let me know. I can either mail you hardcopies of my flyer or email you a flyer so that you can post it in your office, lobby, etc. Like the efforts of our participants, your help with this will contribute to a growing body of research aimed at improving conditions for LGBTQQ individuals!
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you are interested, please forward along a mailing address, fax number, or whatever you’re comfortable sharing so that I can send you my flyer. Please let me know if you have any questions! I’d be happy to chat with you about any concerns or questions you may have.
