At our most recent Shreveport – Bossier City PFLAG meeting, we heard Ashley Fillinggim (sexual assault advocate – Project Celebration, Inc) speak about the available community resources for victims and survivors of sexual assault in our community.
Ashley mentioned that Project Celebration sponsors an LGBTQ+ Sexual Assault and Family Violence Support Group. This group meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 5:30 PM. For more information on this support group, please contact Project Celebration at 318-227-7900.

The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center (OBVAMC) in Shreveport LA will be offering “LGBT Sensitivity – An Introduction” with Mr. Guy Robison.
The OBVAMC Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Program will be offering this education and training opportunity.
OBVAMC employees can earn 1 hour of free CEU for their continuing education requirements.
